The Bible In 90 Days

Here's your chance to take one of the most exciting and rewarding challenges available. Here at Martin Bluff we are going to begin reading the entire bible in 90 days. Ted Cooper is a former atheist who decided he wanted to find out what was going on with all his Christian friends. They seemed to have a peace that he was intrigued by. So Mr. Cooper purchased a hardback copy of the NIV bible and started reading. In his own testimony he tells how halfway through the old testament he realized what he was reading was true and became a believer. So Mr. Cooper decided to set about spreading the word of God and encouraging others to read the bible. His answer: read the entire bible cover to cover in 90 days by reading 12 pages a day. That's right, only 12 pages a day.

So I invite you to join in this adventure. I promise you will not be disappointed with the results.

If you would like to order the same NIV bible that goes with the program it is $20. This is not a requirement though. Any copy will work. You can bring your check to our weekly service or drop it by the church office @ 7417 Martin Bluff Road. If you pay by check please mark "Bible in 90 Days" on the bottom. We will take orders through Sunday, February 17th and place an order through Zondervan on Monday, February 18th.

Our actual reading will begin Sunday, March 4th. We will meet that morning and each following week at 9:30 AM.

As we continue our study of Titus we take a look at ways each age group should live. By following the qualities given by Paul in this chapter we can gurantee living a life that will not only be pleasing to God, but will show others what a Christian should be. How often have you invited someone to church or talked about Christ to someone they responded that all Christians are hypocrites. Unfortunately there are many people in the church today who appear righteous on Sunday mornings surrounded by a crowd, but become just like the world when they walk out the church doors.

So once again we are challenged not to live like the world, for we do not belong to the world. We belong to Jesus and in Him we will take our comfort and gather our strength.

As we continue our study in the book of Titus we look at elders and how our church should be lead. Christ is called the head of the church and we are the body of the church. Elders keep the body organized and help all the parts work together correctly and (hopefully) without conflict. We will dicuss what qualifications and elder must have and the attitude they should exhibit. We will also see how each one of us should strive to attain the qualities give by scripture that an elder should have.

NarroWay is a group of Christian musicians which feature's MBBC's JD & Amy Longmire along with church deacon Benny Watts.
